So sad to see your childhood friends leaving too soon. All my best to the Whelan family. Ill never forget when you hosted my birthday party in 1984 after my dad was in a terrible accident.
I am so brokenhearted to hear this. Michael, or Jack as he was known to us in the writing group, was special. He brought very sincere storytelling to our group. I will never forget his unique voice (both his writing voice and his speaking voice). He will be missed.
Please accept my deepest condolences.
I had the pleasure of working with Michael through his writing over the last couple years. He was so very talented and always gave good feedback to the other members of our writer's group. We all always looked forward to reading more of his work. We are all so sorry to hear of his passing and wish to send our condolences to his family.
To Colleen, Jim and all the Whelan Family, so very sorry to hear of Michael's recent passing.
Michael and all the family will be in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.
Rita Sharkey and Family
I am very sorry to hear about Michael’s passing. I have nothing but good memories of Mike. How can any of us forget that memorable night when Michael hit the two foul shots to beat the Lake. I remember they called a timeout to try to Make him more nervous than he already was. I told the team that after Michael makes his two foul shots for everyone to get back on defense. I was actually praying that Michael would make one to tie the game. It was one of the best moments of my coaching career. My prayers go out to all the Whalens!
To Colleen, Jimmy, Alexandria and all the Whelan family, on behalf of the Buoye family, please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Michael. Be assured we will remember him in our prayers. May he rest in peace.
