My Grandmother shined so bright and brought endless beauty into my life and the lives of anyone she met. Strangers were always drawn to her, regaling her with stories and she always spared her time and kindly listened.
She was a talented artist. She captured the world’s splendor in her pastel drawings, including a cherished flower she created that now hangs in my home. She also drew many of her grandchildren, capturing a moment in time, we will each treasure. One of her many gifts to us.
She filled my childhood with love and laughter—playing cards and Scrabble, watching old movies, and sharing butterscotch crumpets. She sang "Old McDonald" to me as a baby in the back of the station wagon, creating an endless supply of farm, forest, and jungle animals to keep me happy. She made every summer special, taking me to the beach and boardwalk, and with back-to-school shopping adventures. Being with her was a true gift—she had a way of making you feel deeply seen and unconditionally loved.
Her warmth and creativity shaped my world, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and inspiration. She will forever be loved and deeply missed.
