Obituary of Ralph James Panciello

Ralph James Panciello, 93

Ralph James Panciello, 93, of West Orange passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at his home.

Visiting will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 44 Benvenue Ave. in West Orange. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ralph’s name to:  Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.  Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com.

Ralph was born and raised in Orange before moving to West Orange 60 years ago.

He worked as a machinist for Lock Joint Pipe Company in East Orange. Mr. Panciello proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He was the Commander of the Glennon –Sayers VFW Post #376, a member of the West Orange Elks BPOE #1590, and former Deputy Mayor of West Orange Township.

Ralph was the beloved husband of the late Rose (nee Cocco), devoted father of Rosanne Duff, Ralph Panciello and his wife Cherie. Cherished grandfather of Alan Duff, and Natalia Panciello. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Gateano and Theresa (Alvino) Panciello, and his siblings: Carmen, Lucy Selimo, Tony, Danny, Antoinette Pelosi, and Sam. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.

During the COVID 19 pandemic, all persons entering the Funeral Home will be required to wear a face mask or face covering throughout their stay. Likewise, all social distancing rules must be adhered to. Gathering together in groups should not happen. A continued flow throughout the facility will aid in keeping all of us safe, with everyone having an opportunity to pay their respects.
