Though I met Gordon a long, long time ago when I was very young, my father (Michael Luzzi) would talk fondly of him. My father passed back in 2016 and I had the pleasure of talking to Gordon about three years ago of Essex Co. PD stuff. My condolences to the family, he seemed like a well admired man.

Gordon and I grew up together at a young age on the same street in Orange, NJ. We also had a family connection as well. We remained good friends through the years and I will remember the times we completed against each other in high school on the football field. Very sorry for the loss to his family and friends.

I am very saddened to hear of Gordon's passing. I knew him casually from Jim Johnstons in Roseland. I visit Johnstons on Sundays and so did Gordon; we would sit next to each other at the bar chat and watch TV. I liked the man and have a great deal of respect for him...to me he was a mellow cool guy....
My sincerest condolences to Gordon's family
Sincerely
Mark Grego

I Met Gordon in the 7th Grade at Central School in Orange. We instantly became friends and remained so all these years.
Gordon was a trusted and loyal person, his love for country was extraordinary. someone you definitely would want in your Fox Hole.
Later I would serve under his dad (Chief) Gordon in the Orange Fire Department.
Our daughters graduated fron TCNJ the same year.
We often chatted on facebook,he was very proud of his beautiful family.
Iam so sorry for you loss as well as ours, please accept my condolences and our prayers
Your friend Fonz.

There aren't enough words to describe the sadness I feel over the passing of Gordon "Gordo". He was my instructor during deployment. We developed a friendship over the courses he taught as well as time in the local villages. He was very smart and kind. He will be missed. Deepest condolences to all who knew him. May he RIP
