Q: How did you meet Michael? A: I’m just hearing the sad news now. I met Mike when he had the extensive Dive Shop in Rockaway. I worked at the Music Store next door. Very quickly, we became friends and colleagues. I scored Music for several of his award-winning dive films. And of course, I was also certified by Elite Divers. He was always eager, jovial, and searching for the next project, always moving forward. I have very fond memories of him and will miss him. Very sincerely, Steve Lucas.

Mike was our SCUBA diving instructor many years ago and we were certified by him. He was a fantastic teacher, and we enjoyed exploring the seas because of him. Fast forward, and he certified our 13 year old daughter. We have many wonderful memories. We are so sorry for your loss. He was a great guy! Phyllis and Glen Vida

Hi Dad, It's incredibly difficult letting you go. You were my teacher of everything that was useful in my life. From car maintenance to learning to enjoy the world around me. Thank you. Those life lessons are invaluable, and I will certainly pay it forward to all that I meet. Your spirit is now free to roam the universe! I know the wanderlust in you is finally satisfied. Grab Melissa along the way and give her the biggest hug from me. Dad, please visit me from time to time, maybe in my dreams? I love you. Thank you for giving me a part of you... I heard you can trade your wings in for some gills dad! Do it and find out what is at the bottom of the ocean. I am sure the sea holds the secret to human existence. I will see you again someday.
