Frank J. Bevacqua, 87, of Boonton, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, March 19. A Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Saturday, March 22 at 11 AM.

Frank was born in Boonton, NJ, to Maria and Nicola Bevacqua on September 20, 1937. He graduated from Boonton High School in 1956 and proudly served his country in the US Army (1957-1959). He resided in Boonton his entire life and was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son and brother. Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Boontonites. He was a devout Catholic who was deeply committed to his faith and the teachings of the Church. He was involved in the youth ministry and was a eucharistic minister. Frank always put deep trust in the Lord and instilled the love he had for his religion in his family.

He was happiest in the kitchen and passed his love for cooking and traditional Italian dishes and customs to all his children and grandchildren. He loved being outside, either working in the garden or enjoying the fresh air and being surrounded by his family.

Frank is survived by his wife of 61 years, Josephine (Zangara), and his children: Frank and Lisa, Michael and Maria, Marcellino and Brenda, Elisa and Tom, John and Lisa, Nicole and Mark, Andrea and John, and Christopher and Jaclyn and his sister, Louise DiCarlo. He is also survived by his 27 grandchildren: Frank, August, Olivia, Marina, Nicolas, Cristina, Nyssa, Kiara, Francesca, Bruce, Dominic, Armond, Marcellino, TJ, Chris, Brendan, Domenica, Giovanni, Donato, Ava, Marco, Mario, Cecilia, Evangeline, John, Giacomo and Giorgiana and 6 great-grandchildren: Aria, Galilee, Bodhi, Iam, Providence, Malka, and number 7 on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Nicola, his brother, Nicola Bevacqua, Jr. and three sisters, Rose Leone, Adeline Sabatino and baby Louise.
