I worked with Dr. A at Beacon for 8 years. Being new to managed care, I learned so much being in the office with him and attending his rounds. It felt like a real classroom experience. You knew to be prepared for what he may ask but also knew you’d be leaving rounds learning a lot and also leaving with a smile due to his witty humor. He taught me how to manage the cases we had clinically and he shaped how I learned managed care . Not only did he care professionally, he always cared personally. He took the time to chat in his office, always asking how I was or stayed connected on Facebook always sending a message of support with milestones I had such as getting married or having my son. When I was leaving our job he called me to tell me I was one of the good ones. Well, you were definitely a great one Dr. A. I look back on the times there with you with fond memories and it was a honor and a privilege to learn from you and work with you. You will be missed! - Stefanie Tesi

I am deeply saddened to have learned that Doug is gone. It was a great privilege and pleasure to have been his friend and co-worker. We had stopped communicating with each other after I left Beacon and I deeply regret not reaching out to him. I will always treasure the time we shared. My deepest condolences to all his loved ones, especially Derek and Angela.

My deep condolences to the Anderson family. I worked with Dr. Anderson for several years, and I loved talking to him about his SNCC and Atmy days, his Camaro, and his work. It was clear Dr. Anderson loved his family and his job. He will be greatly missed. Christy Goelz
