I will never forget growing up with John , he taught us kid all about hockey and his love for the New York Rangers is something I’ll never forget . I am a lifelong fan of hockey and the Rangers because of John . Unfortunately I haven’t seen him in 45 years .
My condolences to his family and friends who miss him as well.

I'm grateful for the time I had with John, he taught me so much about resilience, courage and the importance of human connection, As his caregiver, I had the privilege of supporting him through challenging time. Though he is no longer with us, I'll always cherish the memories we made together and strive to continue providing compassionate care to those who need it.

I am so glad Joan, Melissa, John Paul and I were able to get together in May for a little family reunion in Jersey. Joan was a devoted sister and was always there for John. We had a wonderful lunch at the Cheesecake Factory in West Orange. John was in good spirits; he always had a hearty appetite and loved to eat. Then we drove to his doctor’s appointment in Summit. It felt like a road trip driving through the suburbs with my cousins. My Aunt Peggy would always use our middle names, John Paul and John Robert so we’d know who was being addressed. John would always call me Cousin John, and he had a strong handshake when greeting and saying goodbye. These are the moments I will remember. I’m so grateful we were together in May for one last visit. I’ll miss you Cousin! RIP.

It has been a pleasure to know and work with John while he attended Prospect House. John was always friendly greeting staff and peers with a smile or a wave of his hand. John will be missed by everyone at Prospect House. Rest in peace, John.

John was like a brother to me! Our families grew up together. John’s mom and my mom were pregnant together. John was born March 1,1959 and my sister Patty was born February 17,1959.
Just like with John’s sister Joan. Our mothers were pregnant together. Joan was born June 5, 1952 and I was born July 1, 1952. This is as close as families can be without being blood relatives.
I will miss John deeply!

He would always say…. Hi Lynda it’s John…it’s about 5:00 o’clock…. He would leave a message and say call me back.
Many times he would say Love you Lynda!
I’ll miss him very much!
