I am recalling a quote from the movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life” which states, “no man is a failure who has friends.” Boy, did my brother Billy have friends! I was in awe of the number of people who came to offer condolences to the family and to share wonderful stories and special memories of Billy. Thank you all for providing comfort, love and even some good laughs on a sad and difficult day. Our family will not be the same without our beloved Billy but we will continue to celebrate his life together and find comfort in the beautiful memories that we will continue to share. Our love is eternal. Love always, your big sis, Eileen

I worked for Bill when I was just 19. I had the pleasure working side by side in the office as his secretary. Bill was a great boss to work with, he definitely loved his music and family and he was always upbeat and nice to everyone. My sincerest condolences to his family . May he rest in peace.

Bill Sr was truly a great person to have known. For 30 years we shared conversations about many topics and always we listened to each other and respected each other's opinion. We both shared alove for jazz and we attended seveveral performances together over the years.
He always respected his team and looked out for them. There was always" lively language" but mutual respect was shared.
Junior, he had a great deal of respect for you and always had your back as you did his.
He will truly be missed
My condolences to the family.
RIP my friend

My dear friend. You were there for me thru so much. Always a text or phone call away, followed my “Ok, I’ll see you in 10” and you’d be there. We talked about everything and nothing, and it was always good. We had great adventures near and far. Your talk BOTH my ears off.. but listen well when I needed you to. I’ll miss your weekly new diet idea, financial strategy, new car you were going to trade you current to buy (but didn’t). I’ll miss the car rides to go pick up more junk you didn’t need to fill your basement. But most of all, I’ll miss smiling kind, wonderful person that was you. I’m so thankful for the long journey that was our friendship. I’ll miss you and carry you with me for the rest of my days. Yunderstandz

One of my dearest life long friends. I will miss him so much. I have so many fantastic memories. This is Bill and I in kindergarten together. I’m in the middle back row with Bill on my right side. We played together many hours in my house on Whippany Road. A 67 year friendship.

He called me his little sister. I loved him like a brother. He was so kind to me, helped me sort through the Ashland Avenue property, and when I was 17/18 years old, he used to leave a hundred-dollar bill under my car visor. Our last meal was at Marina Grill, we shared octopus. He drove down that day to the shore to see my dad. He wanted to make sure his visit with my dad was positive. My dad was so happy to see him! Derek shared the ‘Let em in” story with me. (Bill & Don) ... God has opened the door.

Billy was a true friend in every sense of the word. Billy was kind, generous, and benevolent to anyone or any organization in need but more than that Billy was just a pleasure to be around. I always enjoyed stopping in Billy’s office just to spend some time together engaged in casual conversations about cars, politics, music or whatever was on our minds that day.

John Gomez,
My prayers and condolences to the Teshner family. I only have childhood memories of Billy growing up on Emerson Dr. Though Billy was a few years older, and was friends with my older brothers, he always included me as part of the Emerson Dr. gang. Playing stick ball, racing Aurora cars in the Teshner house basement, ice skating on the Whippany River and Soap Factory pond, little league baseball, Billy was the big stick in the line-up. As we got older minibikes, motorcycles and cars became the norm and Billy knew how to tear them down and rebuild them back better than new. The funniest memory I have is the time we were test driving our non-street legal dune bug on Eden Lane with Billy and my oldest brother. All was good until we turned the corner and the Hanover Township police were sitting there waiting for us. Luckily we were friends with the policemen and it only resulted in a ride home in the back of the police car. Billy smoothed things over with my mom who was momentarily hysterical at the time. They were great childhood memories.
God Bless Billy!!!

Words don't work. Not for me trying my best to express how I miss my true friend. "Friend" doesn't work either. Bill was so much more than a friend. He kind of opened your heart when you walked into his presence. A kind of spirit, a spirit of joy surrounded him. He'd make me laugh I'd make him laugh and then we'd play music and talk about music and tell each other crazy stupid stories about anything at all. I met him at the Half Point Pub grinning all night and telling me Johnny Carson needed a replacement. I believed him all the way! He made the fun happen. He made happiness around him and you were taken in every time. Thank you William you made my day... you gracious
accomplished gentleman. One of the good ones. Tuba ...indeed! The Thrill is Gone.

I could listen to Dani tell stories about her dad for days. A legend. I know this loss is major but the gain of having Billy as a father is bigger than anything out there. Love, cars and rock’n’roll to the entire Teschner family.

I’ll never forget growing up around your family—you were truly the coolest family on the block. One of the most exhilarating memories of my life was when he took me for a ride in a loud little car—I think it was a Porsche. I must’ve been about seven and we went so fast. I remember the thrill, the laughter, and the feeling of pure joy.
As we got older, every time my sister or I wrecked our cars (and trust me, mine was always a mess), Billy took care of us without hesitation. He raised an incredible family—kind, fun, and full of heart. I always looked up to his daughters, and I had the best time hanging out with his son. Some of my favorite memories were made playing manhunt at your blue house and just being kids together.
Even as we got older and went off to college, he always greeted us with a big smile. Joann we called heard Joey Ann is the best and together they built a home filled with love and laughter and serious fun!
I was happy when I got the guts to go to my favorite dentist Derek got to hear about all of the fun they had on vacations!
I’m so sorry for this tremendous loss. He was a special person with a fun soul and a one-of-a-kind character that none of us will ever forget. He will always be with you.
Love,
Lindsey Crean (Gusoff), Kevin and Skyler
With love and deepest sympathy
