Obituary of Linda Alfieri

Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Linda (Sileo) Alfieri of East Hanover, N.J., entered into eternal life on August 13, 2025 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. She passed away peacefully after a courageous, decades-long battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL).

Born in Paterson, N.J. on February 12, 1960 to the late Angelo and Mary Sileo, Linda was raised in Wayne, N.J. and attended William Paterson College, graduating in 1982 with a degree in communications.  Linda began her career working at Economics Press in Fairfield, where she met her husband Ralph. She spent her subsequent years raising her two sons, Ralph Michael and Andrew Thomas.  Her true love was always children and her later work reflected that. She was employed by the East Hanover Board of Education as a substitute teacher and more recently was an Instructor at The Learning Center of Livingston, N.J.

Linda is survived by her husband Ralph, her two sons, Ralph Michael and Andrew Thomas; her in-laws, David Alfieri, Kevin & Jennifer Alfieri and Patricia Alfieri; her nieces Janine Milan, Jillian Milan, Jianna Milan, Helena Alfieri, Victoria Alfieri and Katherine Alfieri.

Friends and family are invited to call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 17 at the Dangler Funeral Home, 340 Main Street, West Orange, N.J 07052. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Philomena Church, 386 South Livingston Avenue, Livingston, N.J. at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 18. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at L&L Society Donations or mailed to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Mail Center, 1201 15th Street N.W., Suite 410, Washington, D.C. 20005
