Raymond J. Carlucci, 65, of Naples, Fl, formerly of Point Pleasant, NJ and West Orange, NJ, Retired Captain of the West Orange Fire Department, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025 at his home in Naples, Fl.

Born and raised in West Orange, NJ. he was the beloved son of the late Daniel and Virginia Carlucci , the 4th of their seven children. Ray was a graduate of West Orange Mountain High School class of 1978. After graduating he worked various jobs until 1986 when he became a Firefighter with the West Orange Fire Department, a job that he loved. In September of 2004 he was promoted to Captain and retired in October of 2011.

Ray lived for many years in Point Pleasant, NJ until retiring to Naples five years ago. He enjoyed the warm Florida weather and being by the ocean.

Ray is survived by his brothers Daniel, Michael, Vincent, Kevin, his wife Ruth, his two sisters Mary Krzywda her husband John, Jo Ellen Magdits her husband Mark, his nephews Christoper Carlucci, John Carlucci, his niece and goddaughter Cara Carlucci, his niece Ashley Kolaya, aunts, uncles and his many cousins and countless friends.

As friends of the family recently commented to us about Ray, he was a sweetheart of a guy, one of a kind, lived his life as he wanted, carefree and happy he could always make you laugh and put a smile on your face.  He will be greatly missed by us all.
