I am so very sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. May he rest in peace. My dog and I walk in Meadowlands Park in South Orange and we always looked forward to conversations with Frank. He always said he liked my puppy. It was amazing to see Frank walking and exercising every day. He will be missed so much.

Frank was a good man and a good friend over many years. He was 1 year ahead of me at Lourdes & we had many mutual friends. In our older years we met weekly at McDonald’s for breakfast. WO could not have had a better fire chief.

Chief Capron was more than just our leader—he was our example. In the middle of chaos, he was always a calm, steady presence we could rely on. Without any fanfare, he made it clear that he had our backs, no matter what. His leadership inspired us, and his integrity taught us honor. He earned the respect not only of those he led but also of his peers, so much so that even after retiring, other chiefs continued to seek his counsel. I’m proud to have served under him. Rest in peace, Chief.

I first met Frank when was the coach of a beginners baseball team that my underage son got to join. He was assisted by his wife Ann who really kept the players in line. They were inspirational for to many dads and moms just entering the world of youth baseball. Always a soft spoken gentleman in every setting.

It was a blessing to share even a small part of Frank’s journey. He was a kind, humble and generous man, a true gentleman, an active and faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Valley Church. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He was always eager to help those in need. Rest in peace, dear friend. You are very much loved and will be greatly missed.
