Nicholas William Zois

Nicholas Zois peacefully passed is his sleep Thursday moring, November 13th.  He is leaving behind his beloved children, Christine and Billy.

Nick was born in Newark, the son of William and Chrysoula Zois and was a lifelong resident of Verona.  He was the owner and oprerator of Roxy Florist until his forced retirement is his 80's, when a fire destroyed his business in the block of buildings.

Nick was the belove brother of Katherine Gakos and the late Konstantine "Gus" Zois, Stemmy Williams, Harry Zois and Penelope Valassis. Cherished uncle of nieces and nephews and survived by his devoted caregiver, Angel, and many close friends. 

He proudly served in the United States Army and was a stellar community contributor in the town of Bloomfield for many decades.

His warm smile, upbeat persponality and generosity gave light to everyone who knew him.

Nick will live in our hearts forever. 

Visiting for NIck will be held on Tuesday November 18, 2025 at Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St. from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be offered on Wednesday November  19, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Ss. Nicholas Constantine & Helen Greed Orthordox Church, 80 Laurel Ave. in Roseland.

Burial will take place at Fairmount Cemetery, 620 Central Ave. in Newark.
