Obituary of William Patrick Barry Jr.

William (Bill) Barry Jr., 67, of Boonton New Jersey, passed away after a short illness on January 14, 2026.

William was born on July 15, 1958, in Morristown, New Jersey. He spent his working life as a skilled painter and was employed by RB Painting in Sparta, NJ, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft.

William had a deep love for live music and concerts, and he was a devoted supporter of Rutgers, enjoying anything connected to the university. GO RU! He valued time spent with family and friends and will be remembered for his presence, loyalty, and passion for the things he loved.

He is survived by his wife , Patricia (Lamothe) Barry, the love of his life for 42 years; his sons and joys of his life, Ryan Barry and Kevin Barry; his mother-in-law, Johanna Traficante; his sister-in-law, Deborah Muhlberger, and her husband Eric Muhlberger; his nephew, Eric Ough; his niece, Fiana Jackameit, her husband Ray Jackameit, and their children, Annie and Freddie; and his sisters, Amy Wiggins and Colleen Barry and many other nieces and nephews. 

In death, William gave the gift of life as an organ donor, reflecting his generosity and compassion.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of his life will be held in the near future.
