With deep sorrow, yet with the certainty that God has welcomed into heaven one of His most beautiful angels, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Julia Esther Vera Soto, born on April 21, 1957, and who passed away on February 7, 2026. For 68 years, she was a light, a guide, and a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Sixty-eight years ago, God sent her to this earth and gave us the immense honor of calling her Mamá. Her life was a constant example of love, sacrifice, and dedication. She fought tirelessly to provide for her children, always giving us her very best and teaching us through her actions the value of hard work, strength, and faith. A lifetime would not be enough to thank her for all she did for us.

She was a woman of deep faith. In life’s most difficult moments, she taught us to pray and to love God. She prayed for everyone, without exception. Her heart constantly interceded for her family, her friends, and even for those she barely knew. Her relationship with God was intimate and sincere, and through it she taught us to love, to forgive, and to hold on to hope. Her spirit was so great, so full of light and goodness, that the earth seemed almost too small to contain the incredible human being she was.

Her compassion and generosity touched countless lives. Always willing to help others, her heart was open to anyone in need of comfort, advice, or simply someone to listen. As a sister and aunt, she embodied unconditional love. She kept the family united, remembering every name, every birthday, every need. For her, family was everything.

Her charisma lit up every room she entered. Her sincere, radiant smile had the power to ease worries and bring hearts together. She possessed the rare gift of making every person feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. That warmth, her contagious joy, and her unique way of embracing life will remain with us forever, guiding us and reminding us of the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

As a mother, she was the embodiment of strength and the truest example of unconditional love. She not only gave maternal love but also provided firm and protective guidance that upheld her children throughout their lives. With wisdom and determination, she shaped our character, teaching us to remain united. She would lovingly remind us that we were “the three musketeers: all for one and one for all,” a phrase she not only spoke with affection but turned into a way of life. She instilled in us loyalty, respect, and brotherly love—values that continue to define our lives today.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Marjorie) and Lissette (Luisa); and her treasured grandchildren, Matthew, Madison, and Lucas, who were the center of her heart and whom she filled with love, guidance, and unforgettable embraces. She is also survived by her beloved siblings: María; Alberto (Laura); Marlene (Enrique); Giovanna; and Marco (Julie). With immense love, she leaves behind her nieces and nephews: Karla (Edwin), Karen (Billy), Caroline, Albert (Chadia), Kimberly (Robert), Anna, Maryalexandra (James), Marydioselyn (Camely), Thaina, Justin, Dominick, Jesús, Sebastian, Emma, Laia, Kaymarily, Camil, Penelope, Inaya, and Aliya, who will always carry her love, wisdom, and example in their hearts.

Today we trust that she has been reunited in eternal glory with her beloved parents, María and Cristóbal, whom she always carried in her heart and deeply missed. That heavenly reunion brings comfort to those of us who remain. She was also preceded in death by her beloved godson, Christopher Dustin Samanamu, and her brother-in-law, Oscar Jimenez Parra. We remember them with love and hold firm to the hope of an eternal reunion in God’s presence.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dangler Funeral Home. The funeral Mass will take place on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley in Orange, NJ, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Today we feel an immense void, and in our humanity, we ask why; yet even in that, she taught us to trust in God. We are certain that she is now surrounded by the angels for whom she prayed so faithfully.

Julia Esther Vera Soto was, is, and will always be the best. Her legacy will never fade. We love you with all our hearts.

Con profundo dolor, pero con la certeza de que Dios ha recibido en el cielo a uno de sus más hermosos ángeles, anunciamos la partida de nuestra amada madre, hermana, tía, prima y amiga Julia Esther Vera Soto, nacida el 21 de abril de 1957 y fallecida el 7 de febrero de 2026. Durante 68 años fue luz, guía y bendición para todos los que tuvimos el privilegio de conocerla.

Hace 68 años Dios la envió a la tierra y nos dio el inmenso honor de llamarla Mamá. Su vida fue un ejemplo constante de amor, esfuerzo y dedicación. Luchó incansablemente para sacar adelante a sus hijos, dándonos siempre lo mejor y enseñándonos con hechos el valor del trabajo, la fortaleza y la fe. No nos alcanzará la vida para agradecerle todo lo que hizo por nosotros.

Fue una mujer de profunda fe. En los momentos más difíciles nos enseñó a rezar y amar a Dios. Rezaba por todos, sin excepción. Su corazón intercedía constantemente por su familia, por sus amigos e incluso por aquellos que apenas conocía. Su relación con Dios era íntima y sincera, y a través de ella nos enseñó a amar, a perdonar y a tener esperanza. Su espíritu era tan grande, tan lleno de luz y bondad, que la tierra parecía no ser suficiente para contener el inmenso ser humano que fue.

Su compasión y generosidad tocaron incontables vidas. Siempre dispuesta a ayudar al prójimo, su corazón estaba abierto a quien necesitara consuelo, consejo o simplemente ser escuchado. Como hermana y tía, fue amor incondicional. Mantuvo a la familia unida, recordando cada nombre, cada cumpleaños, cada necesidad. Para ella, la familia era lo más importante.

Su carisma iluminaba cualquier lugar al que llegaba. Su sonrisa, sincera y llena de luz, tenía el poder de aliviar preocupaciones y unir corazones. Poseía ese don especial de hacer que cada persona se sintiera vista, valorada y profundamente querida. Esa calidez, esa alegría contagiosa y esa manera única de abrazar la vida permanecerán para siempre en nosotros, guiándonos y recordándonos el hermoso legado que nos dejó.

Como madre, fue ejemplo y fortaleza. No solo brindó amor maternal, sino también la guía firme y protectora que sostuvo a sus hijos. Con sabiduría y determinación, formó el carácter de sus hijos, enseñándoles a mantenerse unidos. Solía recordarles que eran “los tres mosqueteros: todos para uno y uno para todos”, una frase que no solo decía con cariño, sino que convirtió en una manera de vivir. Les inculcó lealtad, respeto y amor fraternal, valores que hoy continúan marcando sus vidas.

Le sobreviven sus hijos, Michael (Marjorie) y Lissette (Luisa); y sus adorados nietos, Matthew, Madison y Lucas, quienes fueron el centro de su corazón y a quienes llenó de amor, consejos y abrazos inolvidables. También le sobreviven sus queridos hermanos: María; Alberto (Laura); Marlene (Enrique); Giovanna; y Marco (Julie). Con inmenso cariño deja a sus sobrinos y sobrinas: Karla (Edwin), Karen (Billy), Caroline, Albert (Chadia), Kimberly (Robert), Anna, Maryalexandra (James), Marydioselyn (Camely), Thaina, Justin, Dominick, Jesús, Sebastian, Emma, Laia, Kaymarily, Camil, Penelope, Inaya y Aliya, quienes siempre llevarán en su corazón su amor, consejos y ejemplo.

Hoy confiamos en que se ha reunido en la gloria eterna con sus amados padres, María y Cristóbal, a quienes siempre llevó en el corazón y extrañó profundamente. Ese reencuentro celestial es ahora un consuelo para quienes quedamos aquí. También la precedieron en la muerte su querido ahijado, Christopher Dustin Samanamu, y su cuñado, Oscar Jimenez Parra. Los recordamos con amor y mantenemos la esperanza firme de un reencuentro eterno en la presencia de Dios.

La velación se llevará a cabo el jueves 12 de febrero de 2026, de 4:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m., en Dangler Funeral Home. La misa funeral tendrá lugar el viernes 13 de febrero de 2026 a las 10:00 a.m. en Our Lady of the Valley, en Orange, NJ, seguida del sepelio en Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Hoy sentimos un vacío inmenso, y humanamente nos preguntamos por qué; pero incluso en eso, ella nos enseñó a confiar en Dios. Tenemos la certeza de que ahora está rodeada de los ángeles por los que tanto rezó.

Julia Esther Vera Soto fue, es y será siempre la mejor. Su huella nunca se borrará. Te amamos con todo el corazón.
