Obituary of Patricia A. Brennan-Skokandick

Patricia “Patti” Brennan Skokandich, age 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on November 1, 1953, Patti was raised in West Orange, New Jersey, a community she proudly called home for much of her life. She later raised her two sons, Steven and Kevin, in West Orange, where she built a life centered on family, friendship, and hard work.

Patti enjoyed a successful career as a paralegal and was respected for her dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic. Beyond her career, she was known for her vibrant personality, infectious laugh, and ability to make everyone around her feel welcome.

Patti loved to travel, whether it was exploring new destinations around the world, taking trips with friends and family, or enjoying visits to her favorite casinos. She embraced every opportunity to create memories with those she loved and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.

In 2017, Patti moved to Toms River, New Jersey, where she enjoyed life at the Jersey Shore. In later years, she returned to Essex County to be closer to her children and grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and joy.

Patti was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Skokandich, who passed away in 2022. Together they shared a loving marriage and a lifetime of cherished memories.

Above all else, Patti’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is survived by her loving sons, Kevin Skokandich and Steven Skokandich; her daughters-in-law, Angela Skokandich and Samantha Skokandich; her cherished grandchildren, Cameron, James, Sophia, Charlotte, and Addison; her brother, Patrick Brennan; her sisters, Kathy and Dianne; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Patti will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, humor, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. The love she shared and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Patti’s life will be held on Saturday, June 27, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Shillelagh Club in West Orange, New Jersey. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory and celebrate a life well lived.

Patti will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her love, laughter, and spirit will remain with us always. ❤️
