Obituary of Gilda LaSalle

Gilda “Chickie” LaSalle, 90

Gilda “Chickie” LaSalle (nee Zuppa),90, of Toms River, formerly of Orange and West Orange,  passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020.

Visiting will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St. in West Orange from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her mane may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research hospital, 501 St Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave.  in West Orange. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

Chickie was born and raised in Orange before moving to West Orange, and then to Toms River in 2017.  She worked as the Dental Coordinator for the Township of West Orange.  

Gilda was the devoted mother of Lauren Urena and her husband Tony, and Larry LaSalle. Loving sister of Ann Francischetti , and the late Louise Favata, Josephine Funaro, Mary Petrie, Rose Weigel, Theresa DeTrolio, Lucy Paglucci, Frank, Domenick and Tuffy Zuppa. Cherished grandmother of Jeff Levens, great grandmother of Justin and Joseph.
