Mike, Patti-Ann, and George:
So sorry to hear about your Dad. I still remember one of the first times I called your house and your Dad answered like it was a Chinese restaurant! We had many a lively conversation at Sunday dinner when I would come up to visit during break from Penn State and for a lot of years after that. Your Dad was always friendly and caring, and I enjoyed his company a lot. It was disheartening when he started to decline, and I know it has been a painful number of years since you've all been able to interact with him the way you would have wanted. I always thought this saying was trite and shallow, but I do really feel that he is at peace now. It is now up to each of you to keep him alive with the good memories and stories you can share about him. It is not easy to lose a parent, and it will take some time until it doesn't cause intense sorrow to think about his passing. I wish you strength and peace in the coming days, weeks and months.
