Eleanor H. English, 96, of West Orange, N.J., beloved wife of the late James R. English and daughter of the late Robert J. and Helen N. Leslie, passed away on August 10, 2020.

Visiting will be held on Friday, August 14 at the Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St., West Orange, N.J. from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange, N.J. for the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. The Englishes were members of Our Lady of Lourdes Church for more than 60 years.

Eleanor was the owner of English Letter House of West Orange.  Her dear friends were the Mallards, the Motts, Eleanor Kent and many others, and she thanks her neighbors for their kindness and friendship.

She always prayed for the kind clergy, children and God's animals.  If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Orange Animal League or a charity of your choice. God Bless!

During the COVID 19 pandemic, all persons entering the Funeral Home will be required to wear a face mask or face covering throughout their stay. Likewise, all social distancing rules must be adhered to. Gathering together in groups should not happen. A continued flow throughout the facility will aid in keeping all of us safe, with everyone having an opportunity to pay their respects.
