Roger A. Valente,73, of West Orange passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at his home.  

Visiting will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Valley Church, 510 Valley Street in Orange. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to; The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Aspen Corporate Park 1, US Highway 9 North, Suite 301, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. Roger was born in Orange and was a lifelong resident of West Orange. He was self-employed as the owner and operator of Valente Automotive in West Orange, and former owner of the gentlemens club "Marilyn's Bad Girls" in Carteret, NJ.  Roger was a avid car and motorcycle enthusiast.

Roger was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Elsie (nee Battista) Valente. Husband of 51 years to Marilyn (nee Steele) Valente. Devoted father of Stacey Valente, Michele Valente, Nicole Poore and her husband Matthew, Tiffany (Valente) LaMonica and her husband Philip. Loving brother of Joel Valente. Cherished grandfather of William, Nicholas, Michael, Jonathan, Alexandra, Victoria, Sophia, Gabriella, and the late Jacky Jr., Sydney, Ashley, and Samantha. He is also survived by his uncle Vincent Battista and his cousin Vincent Rizzo.
