Margaret Jean Christiano (nee Bruno), 96

Margaret Jean “Marge” Christiano (nee Bruno), 96, of West Orange passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021.   

Visiting will be held on Monday, September 6, 2021 4:00-8:00 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street. 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Avenue West Orange, NJ 07052. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Margaret’s name to: Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Avenue West Orange, NJ 07052 or the Sisters of Charity- Maris Stella, 7201 Long Beach Blvd., PO Box 3135, Harvey Cedars, NJ 08008.

Margaret was born and raised in Orange, the daughter of the late Francesco and Filomena Bruno, before moving to West Orange in 1958. She was a clerk for the Essex County Welfare Department. Marge was very devoted to her faith and her church, she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the Mr.  & Mrs.  Club at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She was also a member of the West Orange Seniors.

Marge was the beloved wife of the late John J. Christiano Jr. Devoted mother John James III and his wife Patricia, Robert and his wife Cindy, James and his wife Barbara, and Paul and his wife Sandy.. Loving sister of Frank Bruno and the late Angie Spagnuolo. Cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Jenna, John J.  Loving great-grandmother of Cooper. Cherished aunt of Sandy DeMichele and Sam Spagnuolo.
