When our Mom passed away thirty four years ago, our sister Etta not only stood as the basis of our strength through that trying period, but stepped up to fill her shoes as the head of the Martorano family. Since then, she was the binding force that has kept our continuously growing family together. Etta’s strength and generosity knows no limit. In spite of life threatening illnesses and personal sorrows, she was the beacon of our family that guided us to safe ports in the sometimes stormy seas of life. On her passing, we are flooded with memories of longago happenings and yesterday’s moments, all combining into a wondrous lifetime of love and accomplishment. Thanks to our sister Etta, these thousands of multi-colored threads have become integrally woven into the fabric which makes our family what it is today. We, as a family, are truly blessed to have had Etta in our lives. We honor Etta, not only for what she have given to each of us, but who she was to the many lives she touched.
