Marleen Barbara Martin, 73

Marleen Barbara Martin, 73 of West Orange, NJ passed away on Saturday December 25, 2021 at Greenhill Senior Living and Rehabilitation in West Orange, NJ.

Marleen was a devout Catholic, CCD (religious education) teacher and Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Orange, NJ.

She cherished her friends and family. Marleen loved cats, including strays, and cared for many throughout her life.

She was surrounded by caring friends, many from her Church, who all were very giving and supportive.

Marleen loved to coordinate parties and celebrations at John P Renna House for Seniors where she lived until last year.

The daughter of the late Howard and Madeline (Tatz) Martin, she was born on October 5, 1948 in Newark, NJ.

Marleen leaves behind her brothers David Martin and John Martin. She was preceded in death by her brothers Kevin Martin and Douglas Martin.

Visiting will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Valley Church, 510 Valley Street in Orange. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 225 Ridgedale Ave. in East Hanover.
