To the Petrillo family, my deepest sympathy. I worked with Rocco at Engelhard and BASF for many years The best memory I have is when we worked together on the Engelhard Activities Committee. Rocco was always kind, smiling, thoughtful and willing to help anyone who asked. He was an all around great person. He was the type of person who over the years would call when his job relocated to Union to ask how I and everyone else were doing. He was my friend and will be missed. Rest in Peace, Rocco. Dear Petrillo Family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I worked with Rocco at Engelhard for 30 years and maybe plus. He was a great guy always with a smile on his handsome face. I loved working with him thru Site Management. My department moved around alot and Rocco was always there to help me with ANYTHING I needed help with and sometimes it wasn't even part of his job. Although I have known him for all these years and said hello to him and talked to him every day I never knew he was born in Italy. Rocco my friend rest in peace you will be missed. The attached photo was taken in 1968, I was in my terrible 2s & my uncle was probably only around 16 (that's Grandpa in the background). I remember this & how close I was with my uncle growing up. He taught me a lot over the years. As a boy he taught me how to start off on a steep hill in a dump truck with a manual transmission. I must have stalled it 20 times but he didn't give up on me! Later on he taught me how to chirp gears in my 57 Chevy. I am grateful we were close enough in age that I considered him more of a brother than an uncle...I will miss him, Rest In Peace Uncle Roc-Love you!!!
