James John Boyle, 93

James John Boyle, 93, of West Orange passed away peacefully with family at his side on Sunday, May 1, 2022.  

Visiting will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Disabled American Veterans (dav.org).

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Church, 94 Ridge Street in Orange. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

James was born on December 31, 1928 to Mary and Patrick Boyle. A West Orange High School Graduate, he was a US Army Veteran who served at Fort Totten during the Korean Was as an artilleryman. He worked over forty years for Bell Telephone in several positions, including lineman (telephone pole climber), repair, service and installation. Jim was a devoted family man who enjoyed watching the Mets and Giants, in later years he enjoyed collecting.

James was a loving husband, predeceased by high school sweetheart and wife of 50 years Joan. Devoted father to Dennis, Stephen, Nancy and Jeffery. Loving grandfather of Dennis, Katie, Meghan, Erika, Amanda, Tyler and Adam. Great Grandfather of Clara, Max, Owen, Ella, Kia and Roman. He was predeceased by hi older sisters, Jean Boyle, Ann (Boyle West, and Patsy (Boyle) Adams. He was the first of the Clan Boyle born in the United States.
