Dad, John, Big John, Buddy, Grandpa, We all have our own best and worst memories of him. Moments where you could hug him,
and moments….well I’m sure you know. My last visit was 2 weeks before he died, I caught a glimpse of the person he wanted to be.
Maybe with death the edges have been smoothed, softer, kinder, the lines blurred to reveal perhaps, what I wanted to see.
He said he didn’t remember me, but I told him him it’s ok I’ll remember for us both. And soon we will be together again, he’ll be strong and healthy and will be the first to say, hey Jude!
