My dear brother Sean, from our little village in Cloonfad where we played in the fields as children to the time you stepped off the boat from Cobh in 1959 to live with us in our little one-bedroom apartment on Lincoln Avenue in Orange, we have been together. All of the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners we have shared as family, our backyard chats, you and Alfie cheering for Roscommon to one day win the All Ireland, I’ll miss those times. I’ll miss our nightly chats on the phone, I’ll miss dropping Irish Soda Bread off at your door but most of all I’ll miss you. I pray that you are with our beloved parents, our loving siblings Robert and Kathleen in Heaven and that you will pray for our hearts to heal now that you’re gone. Your loving sister, Helena and adoring brother-in-law Alfie.
