Visiting Sheridan Lane at Christmas was done by several generations of Dock’s. It was always special. I remember Eleanor too from the Boonton concerts in the park in the summer. She was always there with friends and knew so many. Rest In Peace, dear lady.

I was lucky to live on Sheridan Lane and be a part of the fun and festivities that Eleanor led for every holiday. She was a great neighbor and friend. always quick to join or host a party or to help if you needed someone to watch your house or get kids after school off the bus. she’s one of a kind and will be missed.

If there was/is a bigger fan of Christmas on the face of this earth no one has found them yet! Eleanor embodied all the values of Christmas - joy, happiness, generosity to a fault, kindness, thoughtfulness, cheerfulness, peppy, and, most importantly, love. What a wonderful Mrs. Santa she would have made!

Eleanor was the center of the very special place those of us who lived there called it "The Lane". We moved there in 1983 and though we only planned on staying a few years, spent over 3 decades living on the best street anywhere. Eleanor Bolan with all her enthusiasm and joy brough everyone together and formed a bond that was "priceless". Each Holiday was magical and her spirit was contagious. Just recently I drove past and there she was sitting on the front porch looking as beautiful as the home she treasured. No words to thank you Eleanor for leaving us all the most amazing memories of "The Lane". Thank you Eleanor and now you can decorate Heaven!

Halloween will never be the same...I grew up on the same street in Montville where Eleanor lived.
I always visited her when I was back in town...I don't think I ever missed a Halloween at her house.
Her holiday decorating was amazing...RIP Eleanor...you will truly be missed...
