Obituary of Donna Lynn Wasserman

Donna Lynn Wasserman, 68, of West Orange, NJ passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held for her family and friends in the early summer of 2023 (details TBD). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna’s name to the ASPCA at: www.aspca.org.

Donna was born and raised in West Orange, NJ, and was one of six children of the late Harry and Elizabeth Scheper. Donna worked as a Secretary and more recently a Caretaker, but was most well-known for her role as “Your Favorite Bartender” at a popular restaurant in Union, NJ, where she made customers smile for many years. 

Donna cherished spending time with loved ones and was an animal lover and devoted “cat mom” to several cats that she rescued and cared for over the years. She was a kindhearted, fun-loving, and spirited woman with a wonderful sense of humor, who will be remembered for her generosity, strength, and compassion.

Donna is survived by her siblings; Bonnie Scheper, Dennis Scheper, Betsey Bradley, Thomas Scheper, and her dear friend Dennis Balbach. A loving Aunt, Donna is also survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she brought so much happiness to, and will be missed by many beloved friends who she considered family.
