Obituary of Maryanne Fess
Maryanne Fess (née Lamb) of Fairfield and Point Pleasant, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 9 at the age of 67. She was born and raised in Montclair where she attended Immaculate Conception Grammar and High School. She was proud of being part of the Immaculate family; as her father, mother, two brothers, three sisters, and husband were all alumni.
She was an active member of the ICHS community playing on the basketball team and participating in many clubs and activities. Following her graduation she quickly moved into various managerial and supervisory positions but eventually took a position with ADP where she enjoyed a successful career as a supervisor. Upon retirement, Maryanne enjoyed spending time down the Jersey shore with friends and family, traveling and her country line dancing classes at the community recreation center in Fairfield. She was able to check off her top travel destination just this past summer, when she traveled with Tracey to visit Italy and cruise the Mediterranean enjoying pizza, homemade pasta and wine. Her fondness of parties, having a good time, finding an excuse to celebrate and hosting of the annual Monmouth Park Track Day in memory of Peter will be cherished memories for many.
She is predeceased by her husband Peter Fess; brother Edward Lamb, sisters Ginny Clark, Maureen Lamb and Janie Lamb; and parents Edward and Jane Lamb (Meehan). She is survived by her daughter Tracey Fess and brother Bobby Lamb, as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws and an endless list of friends.
A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date
