Obituary of Kyla Byressa Anne Dahlin
In Loving Memory of Kyla Byressa Anne Dahlin
“If there ever comes a day where we can’t be together,
keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.”
It is with heavy heart that we mourn the sudden passing of Kyla Byressa Anne Dahlin on November 19, 2022. She was 20 years old.
Kyla was born on August 9, 2002, in Livingston, New Jersey. She had a beautiful, soft-spoken, and generous spirit that emanated light and warmth to all that knew her. She grew up in West Orange, NJ, and graduated Hanover Park High School. She loved being surrounded by her large extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins and the boisterous and over-the-top get-togethers that brought everyone together. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving because it brought the people she loved to one great table that echoed with laughter and traditions as well as the simple moments and memories of making pies and cookies.
Kyla was a talented artist, expressing her creativity and imagination in everything she touched from hair to doodles with colored pencils. Kyla’s kind heart extended to all living things in nature – including her two feisty felines, Lola, and Rexx. She especially loved the gentle peace of the crashing waves of the ocean and the smooth sand between her toes. She would lie back and listen to lyrics of Sublime, reflecting on life, love, and the world around her. Her unique spin on the world created a brilliant light – one that will not soon, if ever, be diminished.
Kyla is survived by her mother, Jennifer Ench; her father, Jason Dahlin, her brother, Colton Dahlin; as well as her grandfather, Frank Ench, grandparents, Peter and Sandra Dahlin; her aunts, Kimberly Rametta, Christine D’Amico, Christine Dahlin, Rebecca Dahlin and uncles, Frank Ench III, Peter Dahlin and Tom Dahlin; her godfather, Samuel Kiley, as well as many other loving family members and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to attend her funeral mass at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 26 Lakeside Avenue, Verona at 10:30am on Tuesday, November 29th.
