Obituary of Lucy Mary Wetzel
Lucy M. Wetzel (nee Impellizzeri) passed away peacefully on November 29, 2022. The daughter of Joseph Impellizzeri and Jennie Cicio, and wife of Ralph Wetzel, she was born and raised in Lyndhurst, was a hairdresser for a short time before becoming a homemaker and mother.
She was an active and founding member of St. Raphael’s Parish in Livingston. She was a Rosary/Women’s Guild member for many years. Lucy was also active with the St. Raphael’s Senior Citizens Group.
Lucy had a strong passion for cooking and baking and was known for her famous ‘chicken soup’. Her favorite thing to do was getting her hair done!
She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Ralph, her daughter Debra Fagan of Stanhope and her husband Joe, her daughter Darlene Madden of West Orange and her husband John and daughter Elena Bolcato of Independence Township and her husband Angelo. Also survived by grandson Joe Fagan, MIchael Madden, and Sean Madden and great-granddaughter Emma Fagan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 3-7 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 340 Main St. West Orange, followed by burial at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Raphael’s Parish or to a charity of your choice. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the many family and friends who supported Lucy and her family during her most recent illness.
