Obituary of Evelyn Bermingham

Evelyn Bermingham, 70 Evelyn Bermingham, (nee Kirby), 70 , of West Caldwell, formerly of West Orange, passed away on Saturday August 9, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 14, 2014 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange at 9:00AM. Then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. West Orange for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave. in East Hanover. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Evelyn's name to; Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave., 5th Fl., Norwalk, CT, 06851. Evelyn was born and raised in Ireland before moving to the United States in 1963 and living in West Orange, moving to West Caldwell in 2004. She was an Accountant working for Fireman's Fund Insurance in Newark. Evelyn was a member of the Gaelic Athletic Association of NJ and was honored by the Hurling Club as an outstanding member. She was an active supporter and contributor of the Veterans of Foreign War. She was an avid Irish Step Dancer in her younger years. She enjoyed tending to her garden and treasured each and every moment spent with her loving family. Evelyn was the beloved wife of 48 years of John "Brian" Bermingham. Devoted mother of Kim Mitchell and her husband Camillus, Michael and his wife Maria, and the late James Bermingham. Loving sister of Vera Sweeney, Edmond, Michael John, Anna Smith, Margaret Higgins, Patricia Kelly, Helen O'Sullivan, and Geraldine Grimes. Cherished grandmother of Kelsey, Carina, Emma and Michael. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
