Obituary of Nicholas Cucchiaro

Nicholas Joseph Cucchiaro, Sr., 96 Nicholas Joseph Cucchiaro, Sr., 96, a resident of Winchester, New Hampshire and former resident of New Jersey, passed away peacefully at Cheshire Medical Center, Keene, New Hampshire, on Thursday, August 07, 2014, following a period of declining health. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange at 9:00 AM. Then to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visiting will be held on Sunday from 2-6 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Ascend Hospice, 501 Office Center Drive, Suite 285 Fort Washington, PA. 19034. He was born May 12, 1918, in Summit, New Jersey, the son of Dominick and Maria (Martone) Cucchiaro. He was a 1936 graduate of Milburn High School and went on to attend Business School for two years. For many years he worked as the Assistant Manager of the General Cigar Company, which distributed cigars, cigarettes and candy to various small businesses in New Jersey. He was a very hard-working man who devoted himself completely to the care of his family. He enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his two sons: Anthony Cucchiaro of Winchester, NH and Rev. Nicholas J, Cucchiaro, Jr. and his wife Christine of Telford, PA, three grandchildren: Anthony Evan Cucchiaro, Aimee-Nicole Cucchiaro and Nicole Marie Cucchiaro, and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He is predeceased by his wife Anna (Leva) Cucchiaro, his son: Dominick Cucchiaro and his sister: Rose Cucchiaro.
