Obituary of Anne Marie De Bellonia
Anne M. De Bellonia
Anne M. De Bellonia, 94, of Boonton, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
Anne was born in Morristown, NJ, on January 3rd, 1929, and grew up and lived in Boonton, NJ all her life. Here parents were Pasquale “Patsy” and Rose (neé DiSilvestri) Spinozzi. She graduated from Boonton High School and went to work for the pocketbook factory in Boonton before eventually working for Sears and Sweeney law firm as a legal secretary until her retirement. Even after retirement, Anne remained working part-time at the law firm until eventually becoming active at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, working on the thrift store up to her last day being just December 29, 2022.
Anne had a love for all things Elvis, bowling, dancing, family, and friends, collecting angels, and we can’t forget the De Bellonia Harrison Street yearly yard sale. Anne was a major participant in helping to collect all needed things for the people of the Appalachian.
Anne was more than a kind soul with quick wit. Her charisma was disarming to the point that strangers were friends in minutes; and you always felt like you were the most important person on earth as she genuinely gave you 100% of her attention in that moment.
Anne spent most of her free time on the move, either helping the family with errands or watching the kids, or volunteering at Lyons VA Hospital to bring a little more joy into the lives of those that needed it.
Anne was predeceased by her parents; son, James De Bellonia; grandson, Jason De Bellonia; sister, Helen Granato; and brother Gabriel Spinozzi.
She is survived by her sister, Ida Anderson; and her grandchildren, James “J.J.” De Bellonia (Lisa), Michael De Bellonia (Lindsey), Patrick De Bellonia (Autumn), Brian De Bellonia (Anna), Lyndsay De Bellonia Frank (Brian), Joey DeBellonia and Kerry DeBellonia.
Please join the family on Monday, January 9, 2023 for viewing between 1 pm thru 5pm. At Dangler Funeral Home in Boonton, NJ. Mass will be held the following day at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Boonton, NJ. Follow by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Boonton.
