Obituary of Florence J. Corigliano
Florence Corigliano, 99, of Boonton Township, NJ passed away peacefully on March 1, 2023.
Florence was everyone’s favorite valentine having been born on February 14, 1924 to Johanna (née Loch) and Bronislas Pawlikowski in Boonton, NJ. She was the last surviving member of her family which consisted of 13 brothers and sisters. Florence attended local public schools and worked in the Boonton Handbag Factory until she met and married the love of her life, Frank Corigliano. They were happily married for 45 years until his passing in 1988.
Florence was very active in her parish, Sts. Cyril & Methodius, where she could be found serving as a Eucharistic minister, captain of their 20/20 Club dinners, making pierogis for said dinner, and assisting in the weekly collection tasks.
During the football season she loved to root for the New York JETS. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family at her shore house in Point Pleasant Beach. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She would spend countless hours decorating both the inside and outside of her home.
Florence is survived by her loving sons, Frank and Gary; her daughters-in-law, Lynn and Mary Clare (deceased); her grandson, Casey, and his wife Nicole; her great granddaughter, Annabelle; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are called to celebrate her life at Dangler, Lewis & Carey Funeral Home on Sunday, March 5th from 2-6 PM. A funeral mass will follow on Monday, March 6th at 11:30 AM at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church, 215 Hill St. Boonton, NJ 07005.
