Thomas J Venturini Obituary
Thomas J “Tommy” Venturini passed away Thursday May 25, 2023.
Born in Boonton Township, he was a lifelong resident of Boonton. He graduated from Morris Hills High School. He also completed Champion Technical Training School and received several Excellence/Outstanding Achievement Awards to Tommy’s Gulf.
Tommy began his automotive career at Scerbo Pontiac in Boonton. He eventually moved onto Kelly’s Gulf where he retired as Owner/Proprietor of Tommy’s Tri-Town Shell (Tommy’s Gulf/Texaco).
Tommy’s greatest joy was being with his family and friends, especially his cherished granddaughters. He was never happier than with a house full of people enjoying his culinary delights. He also enjoyed his weekly gatherings for “Sunday Dinner” with all his nieces and nephews. He loved traveling with his wife through Italy, especially Sorrento, Las Vegas, and Cancun. Tommy also enjoyed woodworking, gardening and always had a love for auto mechanics “Mr. Fix It”. Tommy loved to sing, especially Frank Sinatra songs. He was a lifelong Jets fan.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Elizabeth Venturini, siblings John (Jackie), Theresa Fitzgerald (Tessie), Robert (Bobby), Richard (Dicky), Rosemary, Ali Landa and Edward Gonzalez.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife Cynthe (Ferrante) whom he would have shared 25 years of marriage this August; daughters Frances Venturini (Carlos Alvarez) and Nancy Carlsen (Robert); granddaughters Gabriella and Isabella Alvarez; nieces and nephews Marie McKeever (Don), Jack (Jill), Jimmy, Christopher (Jennifer), Robert (Donna), Susan Johnson (George), Kenneth Ferreri, Eric Manzi and Caroline Ferreri; sister Doris DeMaria; sister-in-laws Nadine Manzi (David) and Patricia Ferreri. Tommy is also survived by numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visiting for Thomas will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Dangler Lewis & Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main St. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church onPocono Road in Mt. Lakes.
Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Boonton.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Thomas J. Venturini’s name.
