At this time, we reflect on the consummate woman she became, the very busy life she led, moreover a call she answered to learn, to teach about service to others first and foremost, while leading by example.
Adding to their devotion to scouting, Lisa and Bruce had the giving and doing mindset with their sons, extended family and a myriad of friends, of which I was just one that benefited.
Whether a hospital stay, a birthday party or a typical weekend dinner together, Lisa always brought a healthy main dish and those amazing
brownies that I always pined for here or in the Pocono house. She knew how to please..and did.
She touched so many lives..and for that alone, we are privileged to have known her so well, for so long.
Her spirit lives on, as she rests in peace.

Never has there been a friend so loyal. Never has there been a friend who gave so much without being asked and not expecting anything in return. Never has there been such a wise and thoughtful person with with such humbleness. Such a friend and confidant can never be replaced.

I was with Lisa the night that her son Andrew was given his first job offer as a teacher. I will never forget how much she was beaming with pride as her son was entering the true adulthood phase of his life. I will always remember Lisa’s amazing personality.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. May her memory be a blessing and may her spirit of volunteerism continue through each of us. I met Lisa through Girl Scouts in 2003 and she quickly became my mentor and friend. I am inspired by how Lisa packed her calendar with memory making opportunies with Bruce, her siblings, children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. I will cherish the Girl Scout events, campfires, trails, books, recipes and Scrabble games we shared. Lisa will live in my heart forever. In peace, Adrienne Burg-Charwat

Bruce started dating Lisa when I was about 5 years old, so I can't even remember a time when she wasn't a part of our family. As so many of her friends and family have mentioned, Lisa had a way of always jumping in to help. For those closest to her, that could feel like a lot at times - like when she would come for a visit and copy down the upcoming events I had noted on my calendar and then call to remind me about them or ask how they went. But I always knew her intentions came from a good place. She had a big heart and truly cared for each person who was fortunate enough to have been a part of her life. She treated my boys like they were her own. And that is something they and I will treasure forever. There is now a hole in our family that can never be filled. We'll miss you, Lisa.
Love,
Jayne

Lisa was my grandmom; and I knew it would be hard when I lost her but I didn’t expect to be hit THAT hard. We all had personal and unique relationships with Lisa, and so I sympathize with all of you writing these messages. Lisa had to be one of the greatest grandmoms in all of history. I love her and will always miss her. She would work so hard at all of the tasks she was given(even when asked to babysit me and my sibling), she was so strong minded(which is good in the way I am saying it), honestly I don’t know how I’d be today if Lisa wasn’t my grandmom. In my life I considered her both my grandmom and my best friend. She taught me so many things that I know now and I love her so much for that. If anyone in my family has to take the award of being the best sewing partner it’s definitely her. Anyways I should probably wrap this up by saying this “I couldn’t have made it here without her”
Love,
Ash/Ashley

I got to know Lisa as she was a close friend to my parents for many years. She was a lovely human who clearly cared about her family but also supported worthy causes and helped others in thebgreater community. I didnt live in New Jersey in the time she came to know and become close with my mom and dad yet she always made time to connect with me whenever I was in town. I'm grateful I can say I knew her and that this planet had the benefit of a caring soul like hers.

I met Lisa about 10 years ago, when my 3 sons were just starting their journey in Scouting in the tiny village of Mountain Lakes. At that time, most of the active Scout leaders had moved up with their sons to the Troop level. Lisa, whom I have dubbed the "Matriarch of NJ Scouting", almost single-handedly resurrected our Pack from a mere shell of ~10 Scouts to a robust pack of 40+ Scouts, along with a team of committed, trained, and excited leaders, in less than 3 years! In turn, Lisa's commitment to our Pack program served to triple the number of Scouts in our Boy Scout Troop. This was ALL done purely out of Lisa's love for Scouting...her sons were all grown adults and so she didn't have a horse left in the race.
Over the years, Lisa has selflessly dedicated her time, energy, and effort to Scouting (Cub, BSA, as well as Girl Scouts) to the benefit of all who met her. In my Scouting lifetime, Lisa served as Den Leader and Committee Chair for our Cub Scouts, Secretary and Treasurer for our BSA troop, and merit badge counselor and countless other roles for our Fishawack district.
I am proud to have known and worked with Lisa, but even more proud to have been considered her friend. I will always cherish the many memories we have created together and will miss her company greatly.
Enjoy the hiking trails in Heaven, Lisa! I'll trek with you when I get there!

Lisa was a Girl Scout for 56 years and a pillar in the Mountain Lakes Girl Scout Community. Anyone who has been a Scout in ML for the past decade has benefitted from her generosity, kindness and commitment to community service. Those of us who had the pleasure and privilege to call her a friend are heartbroken to not be able to see that infectious smile and be calmed by her presence. For many years, Lisa would come to our town encampment with her Girl Scout sweater adorned with decades of patches and tell stories about her adventures earning those patches. Some of us referred to her as our "OG GS" (Original Gangster Girl Scout).
Lisa worked tirelessly for many years as our Community Cookie Chair. Every year, the Girl Scouts at Wildwood Elementary would look forward to Lisa coming by like the Cookie Gift Fairy to kick off cookie season. She was like a rock star confidently showing off the prizes the girls could earn in a room full of "AWWW" and "WHOA", everyone hanging off her every word. No one could hype a cookie sale like Lisa!
She inspired and counseled so many girls and leaders in our community and was always available to provide advice and guidance. She truly was a sister to every Girl Scout.
We will miss you dearly and give our love and gratitude to her family for sharing her with us.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. I was a patient of Lisa's at Mountain Top Dental. Lisa was always very friendly and had a way of calming me down. We always found some time to discuss highlights of our respective family events. I will miss her and her smiling face.

My Aunt Lisa always encouraged her nieces and nephews, and it always felt good that she cared so much. She always listened intently and stayed current on what I was doing, on what all of us were doing. I loved to hear about her pursuing her hobbies and interests, and I will really miss talking with her. She always believed in me and was genuinely understanding. I will always treasure the impact she had on me and our family.

Lisa was not only a daughter in-law I always thought of her as my third daughter. She was always ready to help. She was a big help,
helping in the care of my wife Dena. When I Met Lenore, Lisa and her hit off right away they talked on the phone even when she was sick.
Lenore and I will miss her.

Dad
