Today, July 27, we just found out about Anita's passing from reading the Italian Tribune. Although the years have passed without her, we have such fond memories of this "Free Spirit." She was always the one who made everyone laugh. As classmates at OLV, we shared many "interesting" times. We are sad that we missed the services for Anita, but will hold on to those happy memories. Rest in peace. Our sympathy to her family on this tremendous loss.
Your friends from OLV,
Flo (Grosso) and John Colaiacovo

I came to say Thank you for all the fun times we enjoyed these past few years. Singing Oldies together, reminiscing about the good old days in Orange, laughing about the funny things here at Renna House, where we lived. And thank you for that "ONE" last message you displayed. True to your word. I came to say "Goodbye" my friend, and pray you're resting in peace in the arms of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I will miss you dearly.

Anita always made me smile. She was fun-loving and ageless. Child-like in her mischievous ways. Even when she used “rough” language; somehow it was endearing and would make me me laugh. She was her own person, I loved her and she will be missed.

Always hugging and kissing me, always saying she loves me, always raising up her middle finger in my face and reminding me that I’m her “number one”.

Anita and I graduated from OLV grammar school 66 years ago and then went our separate ways. She went to OLV high school and I went to St, Benedict's Prep.
Last February, Anita attended a fraud prevention seminar for seniors given by my son. She asked him if I was his father and did I attend OLV? Talk about being able to remember long lost classmates!
My son quickly contacted me and Anita gave him her phone number that I requested.
A few weeks later we spoke for 30 to 40 minutes about the "good old times" and our classmates.
We erased 66 years in seconds and we agreed to speak again in a few months.
I am so saddened to learn of her passing but so glad that we had that one opportunity to rekindle a friendship.
