Obituary of Bernard Morgan

Bernard P. Morgan, 84

Bernard P. “Bernie” Morgan, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2024. Born September 23, 1939, son of John and Christina Morgan, he was born and raised in Brooklyn, NYC.

A graduate of St. Francis College, Bernie worked as a CPA his entire life, ending his career at Price Waterhouse Coopers. He served in the National Guard. He was an avid golfer, poker player, and dedicated volunteer.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Jane, and four loving daughters and sons-in-law, Noreen and Marty Petraitis, Christine and Paul Urban, Claire and Dave Wittenburg and Mary Beth Morgan; eight cherished grandchildren: Stephen, Kate, and Thomas Petraitis, Amanda and David Urban, and Davis, Luke and Derek Wittenburg; as well as his sisters and brother: Rosemary, Joan, and Danny.  He’s predeceased by his sister Catherine.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 6 at Dangler Funeral Home in West Orange from 2-4pm and 6:30-8:30pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 7 at 11AM at St. Joseph’s Church in West Orange, followed by burial at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair.
