So many wonderful memories of Uncle Bob. This photo was taken in 1997 in Bear Mountain on my first trip to the States. Uncle Bob and Uncle John took us around lots of the sights. We had so much fun on numerous trips to the States with my dad Joe and my son Dan. Remembering all the trips himself and Peggy took to Sligo where he worked like a trojan on the farm with Uncle Kevin and Peggy cared for Breda. Cherished memories of the few days we spent in Sligo after Uncle Kevin's funeral in July 2014 where myself, Uncle Bob, Uncle John and Uncle Mike went on a trip down memory lane and we traveled around visiting some of their favourite spots and sharing so many stories of their youth growing up in Cloonacool. You will be sadly missed and remembered with much love. It has been a privilege to call you my Uncle, love Helena ❤️

As a fellow Carpenters Local 608 man I remember Bob as a quiet, unassuming gentleman. He was a typical Sligo man, quiet and a tower of strength. An honest man he strived to help and assist the members of 608. Rest in Peace Brother Mickey Whelan

Bob went on this Pilgrimage to Washington D.C. in 2008 when Pope Benedict XVI visited. Bob did the pilgrimage just to help me with my Autistic son Eddie, so we could go. Bob always served selflessly and with joy!
