Elizabeth’s parents immigrated in early 1900's to Boonton, NJ from Czechoslovakia, and as many first-generation Americans, and her siblings were raised to fully appreciate it’s importance. Elizabeth, family and community were a tight-knit group, pulling together to help one another during the Great Depression and then again during World War II.

During World War II, Elizabeth was proud to work for Aircraft Radio, an important manufacturer supporting our military. At a popular local square dance venue during her teen years, just before start of the war, she met the man she would marry, but had to wait many long years for Art Kedzierski, exchanging letters, to see him again after the war was over.

Married In 1948, Elizabeth (Betty) and Art had 5 children and was the quintessential homemaker of the time, always busy in and around her home. She loved Sewing, Knitting, Crocheting, but baking was her thing! The smell of something wonderful baking was always in the house.  Everyone had their all-time favorites, but her entire recipe collection was impressive.

Her superpower was her love of all things in nature, saving and raising birds that fell out of nests to raising stray dogs, cats, rabbits and even a chicken. Elizabeth had other talents too; she was awarded a Patent for a drawer organizer design long before this became popular today. She worked on this project in her spare time from her kitchen table.

One of her true passions was Natural Health. She actively learned something about health every single day and put much of it into practice in her daily life and those around her.
Her Faith, love of family and all living things living were the foundational pillars of her life.

She is survived by her 5 children, Cathy (Bruno), Kedzi (Morgan), Philip, Russell and Richard Kedzierski, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth loved animals and wanted to support the Bergen County Horse Rescue. If you would like to make a donation in her name please include ‘in honor of Elizabeth Kedzierski’, and your email address for a receipt from the Rescue, at https://www.bergencountyhorserescue.org/.
