Obituary of Frank John Costabile
Frank John Costabile passed away on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 at the age 92.
Frank was born on March 11th, 1932 in Newark, New Jersey. At age 23, he married Constance Tekel Costabile. Shortly thereafter he graduated from NCE (now NJIT) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He started his professional career at the consultant firm of Louis Berger Associates. There he assisted in the design of a portion of I-80 and the Lakehurst Naval Air Station. He then proudly served in the US Army. Returning to private life, he worked for Mountain Lakes NJ as an assistant engineer. Opportunity to advance his career then arose in Boonton NJ where he worked for many years as the Licensed Utilities Authority Engineer. As his long professional career neared retirement age, Frank Costabile accepted the job of Executive Director of the Aberdeen Township NJ Utilities Authority under a multi-year contract.
During many of those years, he also worked part-time running his own business as a professional consultant. In the middle of his career, he enjoyed working as an Instructor in adult education courses prescribed by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection. Separately, he was the recipient of the award in that field given at the annual conference of the American Water Works Association.
Frank's greatest joy came from being a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family. His positive outlook, strong faith and deep commitment to family and friends will be in our hearts forever. He was the beloved husband to Constance (Connie) Tekel Costabile, loving father of Diane Marschall, John Costabile, and Lisa Dispenziere. He is also survived by his sister Nancy Costabile and by his granddaughter Kristin Dispenziere Matty and grandsons John Dispenziere, Nicholas Dispenziere and Sean Marschall -- and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Frank's memory would be appreciated to an animal shelter of your choice. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday June 22, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Dangler Lewis & Carey Funeral Home. Burial of cremains will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton NJ.
