Obituary of James Robert Caffrey

James Robert "Slim" Caffrey, Sr., 77 James R. "Slim", Caffrey Sr., 77, of Bloomfield passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2014 at his home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday January 5, 2015 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in East Orange. Visiting will be held on Sunday from 3-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be make in Jim's name to : Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517,Topeka, Kansas 66675 James was born and raised in Newark, living in East Orange, Orange and West Orange before moving to Bloomfield 28 years ago. He was the Chief Armorer at the West Orange Armory. He was a member of the Orange VFW William C. Doyle Post #359, the Orange Elks Lodge #135 and the Orange Knights of Columbus. Mr. Caffrey proudly served in the United States Air Force. James was the beloved husband of Judith Ann Caffrey (nee Farrell). Devoted father of James R. Caffrey Jr., and his wife Christine, Jacqueline Caffrey, Kevin Caffrey, and Kelly Caffrey. Loving brother of Fr. Benet W. Caffrey. Cherished grandfather of Shannon, James III, and Abigail. Great Grandfather of Amberlee and Madison
