To Lou's family: I had the honor of knowing Lou as an attorney during my 30 plus years as an assistant prosecutor in Bergen County. I had the pleasure of working with Lou over the years trying cases against each other. We tried several sex crime cases together in 1999 involving J. Fournier, a former Elmwood Park resident. During one of those trials, Lou told me that when he left the house that morning his wife told him that she hoped he would lose the case. We had a good laugh about that. We had many fun discussions and he loved to share photos of his beautiful German Shepherd dogs. I have many fond memories of Lou. He was a true gentleman and I am so grateful that I got to know him and work with him over the years. He will be missed. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.

To the family of Lou Mangano,
I got to know Lou from legal practice where we collaborated on cases. He was a good friend and a wise and wonderful man. I will greatly miss him.

Condolences to Lou's family and friends...he was someone who was a pleasure to deal with in the legal practice when there are sometimes too few pleasant persons. If Lou told me something, I could count on it. I now know why recently while driving through Elmwood Park I could not place where Lou's office was. Know that he was fondly thought of and well respected. May you take comfort in knowing that and in your memories of a genuine nice person.
