Obituary of Josefina Duran
Josefina Duran, well known as MaFina and Gigi by her family, 85 and resident of West Orange passed away peacefully on Thursday November 21, 2024. Born on February 20, 1939 in Santander, Colombia to Mery and Isaias Almeyda. Survived by her five children Arturo, Alberto, Alba, Alvaro and Aydee: 17 grand-children, 12 great grandchildren and many other relatives. Predeceased by her husband Arturo Duran who passed in October 1976 and her oldest brother Justo.
With profound faith and devotion to God, Mami peacefully passed leaving behind a legacy of kindness, and unselfish service to all that crossed her path. A life fully dedicated to her faith and known for her commitment to her church and community: She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be deeply missed, yet her love and memories will continue to live in our hearts. Mami awaits the Lord’s Second Coming and will rise again to eternal life.

Visiting for Josefina will be held on Sunday NOvember 24, 2024 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Danger Funeral Home of West Oragne, 340 Main Street in West Orange.
