Obituary of Debra Lynn Davenport

Debra Lynn "Debbie" Davenport, 50 Debra L. "Debbie" Davenport, (nee Altman), 50, of Rockaway Township passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Morristown Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday March 24, 2015 at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM and on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the services at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Debbie's name to Noah's Ark Animal Welfare Assoc., Inc., 1915 Route 46 West, Ledgewood, NJ 07852. Debbie was born and raised in Parsippany before moving to Rockaway 22 years ago. She received her Nursing Degree from County College of Morris and her Bachelors in Administration at William Patterson. Debbie has been affiliated with Morristown Memorial Hospital for over 35 years, starting as a Candy Striper at the age of 16. She has held numerous positions in Labor & Delivery, the OR, Same Day Surgery, Chart Creation, Admitting, the Rehab Center, and the AHS Call Center. Debbie was the beloved wife of 18 years of William Jay "Bill" Davenport. She is survived by her parents, Harvey & Jan Altman, her sister Laurie Altman, her Aunt Adrienne & Uncle Stan Zipkin. She is also survived by many cousins on the Zipkin & Sunshine side of the family.
