Obituary of Matilda G O'Boyle

Matilda G. O'Boyle, 98 Matilda G. O'Boyle, (Miscia), 98, of Brick, NJ formerly of West Orange NJ, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015. A celebration of her life will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3-7 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Daytop of Mendham, Seton Hall Prep, or the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth. Born on April 28 1917 in Montclair, NJ, Mrs. O'Boyle resided in West Orange for 75 years before moving to Brick in 2003. The daughter of Josephine Miscia DeVincentis, Mrs. O'Boyle was predeceased by her husband, Michael Francis "Frannie" O'Boyle; her sisters Sadie (William) O'Boyle, Mary (Carmen) Cullari, Ann (Worrall) Pedersen, and Jean Egan. She is survived by her daughter Jacquelyn and her husband Patrick Cassidy; her grandchildren, Carolyn Wahlers, Michael and Christina Cassidy, Peter and Elizabeth Cassidy, P.J. and Jennifer Cassidy'; eight great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Michael, and Daniela Wahlers, Alana, Liam, Tyler, Kaylee, Colton Cassidy, and four generations of nieces and nephews. Matilda worked for Westinghouse and Columbus Hospital before retiring. She was a daily communicant at Our Lady of Lourdes Church before moving to Brick and a member of OLL Rosary Altar Society and Senior Club.
