Earl W. Cowley, 91
Earl W. Cowley, 91 of West Orange died Thursday November 5, 2015 at The Cliffs at Eagle Rock.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 2-4 PM at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street in West Orange. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM at The Cliffs at Eagle Rock, 707 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange. Interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Montclair.
Born March 9, 1924 in Orange, Earl was a lifelong resident of West Orange.
Earl was a security guard at the West Orange Degnan Senior citizen housing in West Orange. He was very active with the Boy Scouts of America, being a 60 year veteran. During his time with the scouts he was a Unit Commissioner, District Commissioner, Asst. Cub Master, Asst. Weblo Den Leader, and Order of the Arrow. Earl was a member of the Whistle Stop Train Club and very proud of his village and train set-up at Christmas.
Earl was the beloved brother to Robert E. Cowley and Ralph Cowley, and the late Raymond Cowley. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
