My first memories of Father Joseph go way back to the 1980s. We had very similar &, yes, ornery senses of humor. We could sit & joke for hours. It was always fun to be around him. His personality had a magnetism to it.
I was very proud of his decision to pursue priesthood & his success was no surprise.
My heartfelt condolences to grieving family members who I'm sure are feeling shock, as well as grief at Joseph's sudden death. I was blessed to know him & he will not be forgotten.
I will make a donation to the Heart Association in his name.

A good heart has stopped beating, a good soul ascended to heaven. We part with our beloved Father Joe in pain.

Condolence to the family and prayers for the eternal repose of the soul of Father Joseph. May Perpetual Light shine upon him, may he rest in peace. I was one of his lectors and altar servers at St. Joseph Church in West Orange.
